The Oxford Scientist was created by an Oxford educated American, Eric LaMont Gregory. The site provides news, analysis and commentary on a wide range of subjects, from medicine to society. The author studied at, graduated from and worked at Oxford University for more than two decades and is created with a number of medical innovations especially concerned with critically-ill premature newborn babies and matters of public health. The author was involved in crises, both natural and man-made. He worked in Bosnia during the long conflict there, intervened in Rwanda and tried to warn the world community before the genocide, and then worked with the humanitarian relief effort in its aftermath. Eric LaMont Gregory has been the subject of BBC extended news broadcasts in his capacity as a scientist and an humanitarian. He also undertook missions to Afghanistan and Angola while working in conjunction with the American Embassy in London. He served as a consultant for the WHO. ILO and UNEP.
