After 1996 when government stopped publishing government owned newspaper Dainik Bangla, it was time for another era when many newspapers started to publish and all Bangla News Papers are owned by business men instead of politicians or political parties. Some of the popular Bangla newspapers in Bangladesh are Daily ProthomAlo, Daily Ittefaq, Daily Samakal, Daily Janakantha, Daily Manabjamin, Daily NayaDiganta, Daily Amar Desh etc. Though all Bangla New Papers are owned by business men, very few of these newspapers are neutral.
